Important safety information

Though atopic dermatitis cannot be cured, it's clinical signs can be successfully controlled. Treatment with ATOPICA significantly reduces the itching and secondary conditions by targeting the allergy at the source. Educating yourself about this disease can significantly improve your dog’s quality of life.

• Comply with your veterinarian’s prescribed regimen of ATOPICA. Once your dog’s atopy is under control it may be tempting to stop using ATOPICA. This can lead to relapses and unnecessary suffering for your dog.

• Avoid triggers. A few simple techniques can help to minimize or avoid flare-ups.

• Monitor your dog closely. You are your dog’s best friend when it comes to helping the veterinarian control skin allergies.

Understanding atopic dermatitis

Based on results from several studies, ATOPICA was generally well tolerated in dogs. As with all drugs, side effects may occur. In a field study, the most common side effects were gastrointestinal signs. Gingival hyperplasia and papillomas may also occur during the initial dosing phase. ATOPICA is not for use in dogs with a history of malignant neoplasia, or with a demonstrated hypersensitivity to Cyclosporine A.
